Tri-County League (WI)
1917-5-03 (Fox Lake) Roster examined position by position. Season begins 5-06.
"The base ball suits arrived first of the week and are very nice looking outfits. The suits are a blue-gray with a narrow navy stripe, navy cap, belt and stockings. A monogramed F. L. set in a light gray circle adorns the left hand side of the shirts. When dolled up in the new outfits Fox Lake will have a team that looks like a ball team anyway.
The time limit of May 1st in which the local club had to collect the money to finance the ball team found the local club in pretty good shape financially. All of the fans in the village, and many who were not fans, donated liberally and about $600 has been raised. The other towns in the league have raised amounts ranging from $700 to $1,000 so Fox Lake is as yet a trifle shy financially in comparison with the others. The club wishes to thank all who have subscribed to the fund and assures them that their assistance is appreciated."
Rosters listed, along with their teams last year. Umpires appointed.
