1921-8-07 Pensacola 4, Gulfport MS 2. Sanchez at 3b. Thorpe from the GASL pitched for the locals. Gulfport player Long John Showers applauded every time he came to bat - "was one of the most popular players who ever wore a Pensacola uniform."
