Frank L. Poth


  1911-4-06 Frank Poth is the son of a well-known Quaker City brewer. 
    1912-3-01 Frank Poth "is unable or unwilling to meet the demands of his creditors because of his wild extravagances." "well known about town as the owner of many automobiles."
1917-1-16 (30 yrs ago) Was selected to manage Chester at the meeting last night. "well-known baseball magnate."
1917-12-18 Pic. Paid second highest price for tickets of Olympia A.A. at auction. Headline: "Patrons of the Tobacco Fund Show." Article about tobacco fund boxing show: Benny Leonard, Mike O'Dowd, and Pete Herman will appear.
    1918-7-25 Leading Poth's All-Stars - has engaged Jeff Tesreau to pitch v. Camp Dix.
1919-7-30 President of Pine Street Debating Society, which seems to be boxing-related.
1937-4-15 Manages a team in the Philadelphia Brewers Bowling League.
1942-9-28 Brother seriously injured when hit by car. Frederick J. Poth is 13 years his senior. "Four sons and three daughters of Frederick A. Poth, founder of F.A. Poth and Sons." Frederick J. assumed management of the brewery when Frederick A. died in 1905. 
1953-2-06 The estate of Frederick A. Poth, worth $1,379,122, will be divided among seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and the husband of a grandchild. An accounting was made after Frank died last February.
1953-2-16 Died 2-14. Was still living at 510 N. 65 St. Philadelphia.

WWII draft Lives in 510 N. 65 St. Philadelphia. Born in Atlantic City. Unemployed. Aprox wt and height: 5'5", 150 lb. Has a light complexion.
