1916-8-07 Petaluma. Has refused a liberal offer from scout Ira Thomas of the Athletics. Preferred to remain semi-pro. Danny Sullivan of the White Sox is also after him. 

1918-5-12 Oak Trib. Pitched eight innings of no-hit ball but gave up four runs on four hits in that other inning - the 8th. 
1919-8-31 Vallejo. Used emery ball to beat Shipfitters 2-1 for Richmond Elks - cost local fans a lot of money in bets. 
1954-7-01 Good team pic of 1911 San Rafael team, with Babe Hollis. 
1963-8-15 Sebastopol. A former Camp Meeker resident, Babe Hollis, has passed away. He had been living in a rest home in Petaluma before he was taken to the hospital in July. Survived by stepchildren and a sister.  
1964-2-22 Petaluma. Memory of author's first climb up Mount Tamalpais for Washington's birthday - annual climb. Babe Hollis a leader of group. Nothing more explicitly about Hollis beyond the mention. 
1989-6-30 LA Times. Was CA HS player of the year in 1909 for SF Cogswell as a pitcher.
