Deacon Van Buren
Managed Westwood club in 1915, and presumably 1916. Managed Gridley Rice Millers in Trolley League in 1917. Took up the reins of Westwood again in 1920. In 1921, he managed Susanville, which had a
record of 19-4. A player of his, "Ginger" Greenwood was a former Trolley League player, and I believe
him to be Horace Greenwood, who played in five games in the PCL in 1911. Scouted and coached for
Vernon of the Pacific Coast League from 1923 to 1925. Signed Jimmy Christian, Eddie Bryan, and others. Scouted for Mission in 1926 and 1927. Was a scout and coach for the Portland Beavers in 1930.
